Adaptation and mitigation have always been two sides of the same coin, but unfortue we have separated them out. And adaptation has been the elephant in the corner of the room, really. We're not at that normal t weare heading toward new normals, not just one new normal. So even those countries that have learnt to live with extreme weather, ir think, i'm going to really struggle. Adaptation is absolutely key. Many years ago, andi'm talking about ten, 15 years ago, i took the view then and i do now, that we should aim for something like four degrees centigrade of warming.
