The French Hospital System Is Creaking at the Seams

The much-vaunted French hospital system is creaking at the seams. If I can't get through to my regular treating doctor I must call 15 which is the French non-emergency number. This is a new campaign as of this summer. The thing that I took away from that utterly shocking silver fay testimony apart from her wonderful recall of everything that happened is that she was effectively told without so many words go away and kill your mother by overdosing her. That is the United Kingdom in 2023 and it would never have happened on my watch. And adding to that although nothing can match the horror of that, this is actually spreading this attitude of go away and die outside our hospital
