The Future of Nuclear Energy in Africa

There are 16 African states that are actively pursuing nuclear energy at some stage. Nuclear policy analyst Dr Olamide Samuel says the mood is more one of optimism about this emerging energy stream. In 2021, there was a quantitative study carried out in Nigeria. They found that over 52% of majorions were overwhelmingly in support of nuclear energy. And in Kenya, there we had 70% support for nuclear energy.
