How to Simulate the Pandemic Spread During COVID

SIR model is based on an aggregate contact matrix. It's a way to try to simulate the pandemic spread across this giant graph of people but you know simulating epidemiological spreads on a graph of 20 million people is not very tractable so we scrapped that idea and went to this idea of using contact matrices. We basically build this large matrix of contacts and we can input that into an SIR model and estimate what would happen under COVID.
