How Much Do We Disobey Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala?

The Prophet Salallahu al-Aiyu said that is dealing with a generation that includes the likes of Abu Bakr as the Allah. The love of Allah and his messenger became the dominant feature of that man, he says. This does not justify the sin of drinking alcohol, nor does it belittle its severity. A person's prayer would not be accepted when they're in that state. But in that heart, there is something. And we don't say you're a disbeliever unless you actually claim that they're permitted to do these things.
