Lake picked up $17 million in cash the morning of the IPO. She owns 15% of the company, her shares were worth about $250 million. I'd say it was a necessary move and the timing was about right. This is an example of there's so many things about timing that are out of your control. Maybe even more things would have gone wrong trying to pushing to go too soon.
