The Differences Between Western and Chinese Interpretations of International Law
International law is an evolving concept that can be traced back at least 400 years. Since the adoption of the UN Charter in 1945, international law has expanded to prohibit the use of force against another state. In China's understanding though, the core principles of international law are state sovereignty, non-aggression and non-interference.
