Two studies that really put this to the test, and i think we're really eye openig studies for a lot of folks who had a tendency to really micro manage the minutia pertaining to their protein sources. One was by montaigne and colleagues. And what they looked at was muscle protein synthesis levels, not acutely after a single meal, but longer term, over three days with resistance training included. If you're eating plenty of protein, and these diets were supplemented with a pretty decent amount of micho protein, which is a pretty high quality plant.
