The Paranoia of the Cold War
The author that reminds me of his Margaret Atwood, who always rejects the label of science fiction. And what she was saying is that when she writes something like a handmaid's tail, that everything that she put in there is something that somewhere in society, people were trying to do. I taught a class that included handmade tail as well as Don de la Luebra. Again, because of this idea of something like paranoia and speculation, but also the way in which at the same time they're not inaccurate ways of viewing the world.
