Napoleon didn't want to recognize any one as having authority to say who is ruler of france. The duke of anghein lived in a place called baden, and napoleon has him kidnapped and executed. This makes the other rulers throughout europe very upset because it violated baden's sovereignty. And so this peace that was made at amions, it breaks down, and everyone goes right back to war.
