The Bible is an expression of the legitimate journeys of faith that people have had in the past and how they've communed with God within their own contextual moments. The difficulty I have with more traditional notions of revelation is that it's really a very intellectualized way of thinking about the presence of God with people. And I'd rather think that God is okay, letting us explore and figure things out.
