The Role of CMPs in High Risk Patients
The American Association for the Study of Liver Disease says that you shouldn't necessarily be looking for NASH and primary care clinics even in high risk patients. The most important thing from a comprehensive metabolic panel is to kind of know what is normal. People with ALTs above these levels have higher liver related mortality, so hepatologists are pretty picky about our ALTs.
