Introduction

Pentecost is the feast of first fruits or Pentecost. The Holy Spirit descended upon the church, giving them the ability to speak in tongues. Peter emerges here as the leader, taking the initiative to reconstitute the 12 apostles so that they may be ready to evangelize the 12 tribes of Israel. In response, 3,000 Jews were broadened to church and more would soon follow on a daily basis.
