It's asking ourselves, am i ready and willing to take the actions necessary to help way, way before i even get the slightest bit irritated or annoyed by my child's behaviour? It may be that they feel unsafe with us in those situations because we haven't taken care of things early enough. The next point is acceptance, which is rolling out the red carpet for feelings, accepting and acknowledging,. And really acknowledging, not just saying, oh, you're upset. You didn't want to i know i saw that. Really trying to connect, even if it seems like a ridiculous point of view. That's what acknowledging is.
