The Limits of the Automatic Machine

I think particularly with regard to our computational tools we've constructed along very very narrow line lines but they've become so powerful we imagine them as the only way to think at all. I wrote about this in the book that you know 99.999 percent of all computers in existence are one type of computer right they are the universal Turing machine which was kind of first described by Alan Turing in the 1930s and yet it has come to completely dominate human thinking because of its power. But a power that has is showing its limitations in really powerful ways, he says.
