The Disadvantages of Tactics in Elections
In bio-elections more and more people are knowingly voting tactically. Ed Miliband was just asked every single day about relying on the support of the SMP to form a government if he hadn't got enough. I think it happened in North Shropshire as well, and then the Nip Dems won against the Conservatives there that people saw. It's extraordinary because that does become such a dominant theme but I guess it's, I guess, the counter-argument to that is that people might want to know what things are going to look like at the end of the election.
