The VCTs are a scheme that was introduced by the UK government over 25 years ago, where retail investors get 30% tax break if they invest into into a VCT and hold their shares for five years. And this allows companies to get a mixture of capital and expertise to help them accelerate their growth. If it wasn't for the VCT market, a lot of these business would not receive the funding that they can to supercharge their growth.
