What Are the White House's Priorities for the Economy?

The White House has a very different job when it comes to economic policy than the Federal Reserve. Lael Brainerd is a longtime economic official in Washington, especially within Democratic administrations. She was instrumental in the Fed's fight against inflation and now will take that whole background to the National Economic Council.
