Judge Miles Lord's Disdain for A.H. Robbins
Judge Miles Lord from Minnesota was overseeing about 20 of these cases. He had an almost open disdain for the executives from A.H. Robbins and their lawyers, accusing them of selling an instrument of death, mutilation and disease. In one ruling, Judge Lord lambasted his prepared remarks: "This is corporate irresponsibility at its meanest" Lawyers were able to remove him from overseeing the future dalcon cases but not before their entire cover-up was exposed.
