When to Make a Transition to Retirement?
If you did nothing in terms of adding any more investments and just left your 14x alone, it would be most likely to get you to 25x somewhere between 6 and 9 years. Time-wise, I think you need to be thinking that once you're 5 to 7 years out from retirement, that may be also a good time to look at the transitioning. Another point of consideration as to making a transition would also be when the market has recovered.
