i love the subtitle of your book, the advantage. It says why organizational health trumps everything else in business. What it trumps is that if you create a culture that has this level of clarity and alinemen and purpose, and you're putting people in jobs where they can do what they're like, what they're wired to do, morale and productivity go up. The underside of what it trumps isn't just more success and business results. It's about the enjoyment of the the people that work there. And i'm not here to say all i think it's not great to give people that flexibility and freedom. We actually know a company that does this really well.
There are some ideas that seem great on the surface, but may lead to a number of unintended negative consequences. This week, Pat, Cody and Tracy discuss the merits (and limits) of a new proposal for a 32 hour workweek as it relates to productivity and employee engagement.
