Tiberius Grakis had gotten the late republic off the ground with a bang. His extremism re-energized class struggles that had been dormant for centuries. A group of armed patricians descended on a public rally for Tiberius and ordered people to disperse. From the ensuing riot, Tiberius was targeted and clubbed to death.
