What Was a Kodak Flash Cube?

The Kodak Flash Cube was a little plastic flash that you connected to the top of your instrument camera. It incinerated the facing of that particular flash in a way that was so amazing, says Andrew Hagan. There was a kind of slightly sulphurous but distant smell as well because it was contained inside this little cube.
