Is There a Mental Illness?
This is one of the first instances where at least hallerin is saying, ok, something's going on here. The other jesuits that come to view later, and other priests, father van ru sees that there's really something going on this. So these people who've seen this kind of stup before, they become convinced that's the point of this anecdote. And i personally, i will just go on the record and say, i don't think father halleran's lying, just based on his disposition. This particular instance proves that this case, for me, was more than just a mis diagnosed mental illness. This something, something more is happening here.
