i didn't know the bishop was gay, and when her selected poems published by chatteand windos, i still didn't know. And i didn't know gun was gay, even though it was staring me in the face. I thought that they were good for any neighbourhood. They were gentle joky men, certainly not ambitious, perhaps not intelligent, unless acar their work. One thing they knew they could for certain do with a disinterest and passionate expertese,. To which they gave their best desires and energies, such oily handed zest by pass the self like love. The more you know about elizabeth bishop's life, the more you see what's lurking between the lines
