NAFTA, the Project of Global Capitalism

In 30 years, a new form of capitalism has been born out of the crisis of mid-century capitalism. The North American Free Trade Agreement dissolving barriers to the movement of goods and capital between the U.S., Mexico and Canada is like the European Union or General Agreement on Tariffs and Trade. Yet paradoxically, the same world context makes more concrete than ever the rewards of solidarity and the necessity of internationalism.
