Movies have got that reputation of being something that's fun, obviously they are fun and they just automatically work with no effort required so again everything works in language learning but you do have to apply yourself. Every method is going to take some effort so I think what people get wrong with, with movies they're watching them too passively. So yeah you need to be a bit more actively engaged whether that you know is noting down some cool new words and expressions when you hear them or preparing yourself before you listen by just reading a little bit about the movie.
