The Problem With the Salmon Farming Industry
CNN's John Defterios and his wife, Catherine, are working on a book about salmon farming. They say the industry is trying to control the narrative by saying it raises sustainably. But studies have shown that even a small farm produces fecal matter and waste roughly equivalent to a town of 65,000 people. A salmon farm will rob marine life and eel grass of oxygen that they need to survive,. On the East Coast, we really don't have Atlantic salmon anymore.
