The Capitulation of the West and of the Afghan Government in Afghanistan

The West's involvement in Afghanistan stretches back to 330 BC and the conquests of Alexander the Great. He left a long footprint in Afghan history, but all these different bits of Western culture were snuffed out after his death. The British Empire stepped foot in Afghanistan militarily speaking in the spring of 1839.
