The Disorganized Response to Attachment Experiences

For the most part, disorganized attachment is highly associated with abuse. A parent who dissociates can be terrifying to a kid, even if they're not abusing the child. Even when there is not neglect or abuse, we need to recognize that those two things are called developmental trauma. And in that altered state, they're terrifying to their kid.
