The Importance of Self-Sacrifice

Dante realises that what seems brightest and most manifest is only a stepping stone in invitation to consider things which are at first much more confusing. the subtle light that counts as much as well it can be both more enlightening and more dangerous so Dante really gets a sense of this in the divine comedy when he enters the sphere of the sun.
