A Case of High Blood Pressure, Hyperlipidemia and New Thermostatapenia

A 38 year old female came to the ER with several days of headaches, abdominal pain and some nausea, vomiting associated with it. She had a CMP that was done that was notable for a creatinine of 1.8. A white cell count of 11.4 with a normal diff and platelets at 28,000. The page was to help them with the workup in the setting of new thermostatapenia and anemia. That's always scary. Whenever you see anemia and thermostatAPenia together in a patient who isn't obviously bleeding, this to things that that could be is a pretty scary one.
