The Importance of Intensity
I was a very intense kid, especially because I wasn't diagnosed. And I often got called overly sensitive or so intense or dramatic growing up. It doesn't seem that bad when you're young and you're looking for attention, but when you get older, it's just not cute, not at all. Did her intensity get in the way of her ability to make and keep friends? Yes. She had some friends that I think just liked being around her. Those were the ones that she would say liked somebody else controlling them, telling them what to do.
