In October, I wrote an article about dependent origination and how to use this seemingly esoteric Buddhist doctrine in everyday life. In this understanding, there's kind of two directions of a story. The first is something like the one that you described, which is forward causality. But when you look at them from the opposite direction, you can actually see going backward that each of the ABC and D has many necessary conditions. So does that make sense?
