ALDK - Is the ATAC608A a New Design?
The ATAC608A, the secure element, is been described by the manufacturer as not to be used in new designs. That's a very bad thing. If you're still using it, just because you want to ship devices, you're negligent. In our design, you still need to break the MCU to get to that. It's only older devices that have that chip. We immediately changed the new B version after it came out. Actually even before it came out, the manufacturer informed us that there was an issue with that part. And we got parts to sample test parts of the new part and started building in and immediately as started releasing with the new part.
