In many sub cultures around the world, a interest in crypto isa it's an intelligence indicator. It can be a little bit of a signal of kind of assertiveness, or disagreeableness, or orneriness. But i think it's also a virtue signal in the sense that it does convey a certain set of political values about free markets.
