Is It a Pandemic of Fungal Infections?
The WHO recently released a list of what they call the fungal priority pathogens. Candida oris, Aspergerly's fumigatus and cryptococcus are among them. If it spreads into almost every hospital that we have patients at the moment, it could shut down entire healthcare systems. This problem is big, it's growing and it's only going to get bigger. And I think we ignore it at our peril.
