The Early English Language
After the Norman invasion, lots of words with French or Latin roots made their way into English. By the 1300s, Middle English had become the favored language in England and literature was being written in it. Toward the end of the 15th century, English had its next big shift, and we are going to talk about that after we have another pause for a sponsor break.
