The many-worlds idea comes out of quantum mechanics and whoever at the third's PhD thesis in the 1950s. The lesson of quantum mechanics up and down is that what we see and what there is are two kind of different things. This is actually, as mind-bending as it is, to me, far and away the most likely to be real version of the multiverse.
