Einstein's Realist Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics
Einstein didn't want a new way of interpreting quantum mechanics. He wanted a theory that just went beyond quantum physics. Bohm ran afoul of the Red Scare in the US at the time and ended up blacklisted, even though he had a letter of recommendation from Albert Einstein. And so he ended up having to leave the US and spent the rest of his life living abroad.
