What Kind of Narratives Did Your Parents Pass on to You About ADD?

Both of my parents are very accomplished in their disciplines, both of them struggled in their disciplines as well. My father had a lot of challenges going through school, but at the end, he figured out what it was that he really liked to do and figured out a way to work on it. My mother, it's interesting, I guess, from both of them, it's just like a work ethic, right? Figure out what you want to do and then get to work. Another thing is that I grew up with learning disabilities.
