The Chinese-Russian Partnership for a New Era
China and Russia have made agreements on 80 bilateral projects in various fields worth around $165 billion. They discussed the power of Siberia to gas pipeline, which is about re-routing Russia's gas exports away from Europe and toward Asia. Putin also said that it is important that our national currencies are increasingly used in bilateral trade. So this is about de-dollarization, challenging the hegemony of the US dollar.
