Vladimir Putin: The Leader of Russia
Andrew Weiss: Russia is a country run by its intelligence services. Most of the people running this big apparatus hate each other, and that's what we saw on display this weekend. He says Vladimir Putin was a mediocre officer in the Soviet KGB who topped out barely at the level of Lieutenant Colonel. But as he's grown, both on the world stage and within his powers, within Russia, he has built an apparatus that doesn't serve him very well.
