The Navy is so hierarchical that a lot of times you have to get approval from one specific person. In our case, it was almost always the reactor officer who was the third in command on the ship. instilling that ownership into each level of the organization and getting them to come to you with those solutions. And then there's coaching opportunities because you get to see the thought process.
