Are Footnotes in Audio Books a Good Idea?
We have to, we have to address this problem pretty soon with the e a, extreme dungeon mastery version to book, because tracy hickman is a getting ready to record the audio book. There are footnotes throughout and and i think what i need to do is front load the decision for tracy and say, you come across a footnote in the text, don't read the footnote number. You just pause, take a breath and say, note seven. And then take another breath and go back in. I could see something like that may be being a possible way forwardand i think some people might like that would be an interesting thing to try.
