What Is Memetic Desire?
Our desire is usually a bent round a model of desire, and we don't recognize them. Mimetic Desire means that we're unconsciously imitating the desires of other people for certain things. It's really just a fancy word for imitation, mimetic meaning mimic or mime. We always imagine that there is a direct line between us and the things that we want,. where the reality is, our desire is often shaped by others.
