The Right to Life Isn't Just a Right Not to Be Killed
Most even if not all human rights actually have positive elements to them. Henry Xu highlighted this point very well in his book Basic Rights, and it's now the 40th anniversary of the publication of that book. The right to life isn't just a right not to be killed. There are positive duties that the state has to provide mechanisms to ensure you can have due process.
