The Benefits of Intellectual Humility

I'm not a person who comes on here and says that intellectual humility is the end all be all. I think there are some challenges with intellectual humility as well, even though at a deep level, I do think it's a good thing for us to have. There are benefits to feeling sure and like you have it right and feeling certain about your beliefs. That provides us with a sense of security. It feels good to have it right. But going back to like my jihadist group example, if you are unaware of your limitations and you are not open to other perspectives, you're going to put on a f***ing vest.
