We're taught in school, we were certainly raised as evangelicals, to believe that that was how it went. Now we know right now, at least in the current data, that partisanship predicts religiosity much more than religiosity predicts partisanship. This makes perfect sense, of course, about churches that go through a discernment process around women in leadership or lg b t c incollusion.
