Eleanor Cobham was accused of plotting to kill the king Henry VI in 1440. Her associates were using necromancy astrology and magic to work out the horoscope, summoning malign spirits. The trial is absolutely fascinating but it's legally dubious in many ways. There's no legal precedent for putting a noble woman on trial.
